Ahmed had been struggling with the breakup. Two weeks had passed since he decided to end things with Sarah. He thought he was ready to move on, but the sight that greeted him when he returned to their favorite hangout shattered him.

Peering through the window, he saw Sarah, the girl he still loved, entwined with another guy. It felt like a punch to the gut, seeing her move on so quickly. Ahmed's heart sank, and he turned away, fighting back tears.

Unable to avoid the pain, Ahmed found solace in talking to his friend Abbas. Over a cup of tea, Abbas listened patiently as Ahmed poured out his feelings of betrayal, hurt, and confusion.

"Why does it hurt so much, Abbas?" Ahmed asked, his voice thick with emotion. "I thought I was over her, but seeing her with someone else... it's like reopening a wound."

Abbas nodded understandingly. "It's normal to feel this way, Ahmed. Breakups are tough, and there's no set timeline for moving on. Everyone heals at their own pace."

Reflecting on Abbas's words over the following weeks, Ahmed began to realize that rushing the healing process only prolonged the pain. He focused on self-care, rediscovering his passions, and spending time with supportive friends.

Months later, Ahmed found himself in a better place emotionally. He had learned that healing takes time and that comparing his journey to others' only added unnecessary pressure.

Looking back, Ahmed shared his lesson with Abbas one evening over dinner. "You were right, Abbas. I needed that time to heal properly. Moving on isn't about a set number of days or weeks—it's about healing at your own pace."

Abbas smiled knowingly. "Exactly, Ahmed. It's about honoring your emotions and giving yourself the time and space you need."

In this story, Ahmed's journey highlights the importance of allowing oneself the necessary time to heal after a breakup, emphasizing that there's no fixed timeline for moving on.
